PAL returns to North America this June

Philippine Airlines (PAL) is set to fly back to North America destinations starting this June but still subject to change depending on the current situation like government imposed travel restrictions and the status of the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) over Metro Manila.

In a report from Routesonline, PAL updated its North America schedule for the month of June 2020. Some updates on their schedule are as follows:
  • Manila - Honolulu: 2x weekly utilizing A333
  • Manila - Los Angeles: 4x weekly utilizing B77W
  • Manila - New York: 2x weekly utilizing A359 effective June 11
  • Manila - San Francisco: 4x weekly utilizing B77W
  • Manila - Toronto: 2x weekly utilizing A359
  • Manila - Vancouver: 2x weekly utilizing B77W
All schedules are subject to change

While PAL has already filed and made changes in their flight schedules, the airline continues to monitor the ongoing CoviD-19 situation as everything are contingent to the market situation, government imposed travel restrictions, and health conditions. PAL has previously said that it will begin with limited flights and shall gradually increase depending on the demand for air travel and those given factors.

Repatriation and all-cargo flights

From the time the airline suspended its commercial scheduled passenger flights, PAL continued to operate all-cargo flights bringing needed medical supplies and equipment to and from the country needed in the battle versus CoviD-19.

PAL has also been operating a lot of domestic sweeper flights and international repatriation flights ferrying back stranded foreign nationals and flying back Filipinos and permanent residents.
