[VIDEO]: PAL 777 arrives in Miami after flying 16 hours from Manila

It was indeed Philippine Airlines' longest ever non-stop flight from Manila and the longest non-stop flight ever recorded in the history of Philippine aviation. Using the Great Circle Distance, Manila to Miami is 14.989 mi, and according to the cabin crew, the duration was 16 hours 20 minutes.

PR5112 was a repositioning flight for a repatriation service which will fly from Miami with a technical stop at Los Angeles then to Manila, hence the trip from Manila to Miami was virtually empty.

The repatriation flight took home 300+ Filipino seafarers from the Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship. The flight arrived Manila yesterday, May 21.
