Risk of virus transmission by being seated next to a passenger on board an aircraft is low

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) reiterates that the transmission of virus aboard an aircraft is very low even if passengers are seated by the side.

Despite numerous write-ups from airlines, aircraft manufacturers, and even aviation experts, there have been quite a number of passengers who would take to social media to rant about why the airline did not observe social distance.

The IATA now discuses five reasons why transmission on board an aircraft is very low as compared to a typical office space, restaurant, and other modes of land transportation.
