PAL flies back 361 OFWs from Lebanon

 A Philippine Airlines (PAL) repatriation flight brought back to Manila 361 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) from Beirut, Lebanon.

The aircraft utilized, a Boeing 777-300ER which is configured to fit 370 passengers, departed Manila last September 2 for Beirut as flight PR8680. After a two-hour ground stop which included passenger boarding, the flight headed back to Manila which took 12 hours and 9 minutes non-stop.

This special flight was chartered by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).

Arrival biosecurity protocols

Upon arrival in Manila, the passengers were briefed by the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) and PAL representatives about the testing and quarantine protocols. The passengers will then have to undergo an RT-PCR for Covid-19 test and mandatory quarantine in facilities until the results are released.

The airline also assisted the passengers with land transfers to the designated quarantine facilities.
