Skyjet, a boutique airline operated by Magnum Air Inc., finally landed in San Vicente Palawan last July 16 at about 9:45am. Total flying time is 50 minutes according to Skyjet.
Speaking at the event, Skyjet CEO Mr. Patrick Tan said “We at Skyjet are always looking for new destinations to develop. Right now, we are a boutique airline, we fly to the best destinations in the Philippines. This is our current project and we want to bring San Vicente up to the same level as Boracay, as Busuanga and so on… San Vicente is the most promising destination we see in the Philippines right now, here (in San Vicente), there is a 14.7 kilometer (beach stretch) not just the longest white beach in the Philippines, it is also the second longest beach in Southeast Asia.”
San Vicente is known to have the longest continuous white sand beach in the Philippines and second longest in Asia. San Vicente town also has the thickest forest cover in the Philippines at 86% which constitutes 6.7% of the total forest cover of the entire country.
