Facing troubles and order cancellations due to its 737 Max issues, Boeing is bound to be overtaken by Airbus in terms of becoming the world's biggest commercial aircraft maker. Airbus reported to have delivered 389 aircraft in the first half of 2019 whereas Boeing reported 239 only. This is the first time in seven years that Airbus has overtaken Boeing in terms of aircraft deliveries.
The Philippines's leading low-cost airline Cebu Pacific signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) order of up to 31 different Airbus NEO aircraft. This order consists of 16 Airbus A330-900NEO, 10 Airbus A321XLR, and 5 Airbus A320NEO. This is on top of their pending order of 28 Airbus A321NEO where 2 have been delivered already, and 9 A320NEO where 1 has been delivered just recently.
