Philippines AirAsia (PAA) has announced the launch of its services to and from Zamboanga from its hubs in Cebu and Clark starting March 29. This will be the airline's fourth destination in the Mindanao area and comes after its General Santos services was announced.
In a statement, PAA CEO Ricky Isla said, “We are pleased to announce our new domestic destination, Zamboanga. Our newest route cements AirAsia’s connections amongst the country’s major islands: Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The launching of the new route is in support of Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo Puyat’s push for a livelier tourism within the Philippines and her department’s campaign, ‘It’s More Fun in the Philippines."
PAA's four times weekly flights to Zamboanga from Clark flight Z2461 departs at 1:40PM and arrives Zamboanga at 3:25PM. The return flight Z2462 departs Zamboanga at 3:55PM and arrives Clark at 5:40PM.
For flights between Cebu and Zamboanga, flight Z2591 departs at 7:45AM and arrives Zamboanga at 8:50PM thrice a week. Z2592 returning from Zamboanga to Cebu departs at 9:20AM and arrives 10:30AM. Then flight Z2593 from Cebu to Zamboanga departs at 11:05AM and arrives Zamboanga at 12:10PM four times weekly. The return flight Z2594 departs Zamboanga at 12:40PM and arrives Cebu at 1:50PM four times weekly.
