AirAsia's very first Airbus A321NEO will be a special one as it will be wearing a special colorful and funky livery. The Malaysia-based low cost airline and world's number 1 low cost carrier by Skytrax is set to receive the largest member of the Airbus A320 family in the next coming weeks. The aircraft is out of the paint shop and still awaiting its engines for a number testing hours before delivery.
During the 2019 Paris Air Show, AirAsia Berhad converted its order of 253 Airbus A320NEOs to the A321NEO bringing the total book order of AirAsia A321NEOs to 353. The aircraft will be configured to fit 236 passengers.
AirAsia first teased the "3, 2, 1 Take-off" A321NEO on its Twitter page last September 11. AirAsia is currently the biggest customer of the A321NEO and holds the biggest single order record of this type of aircraft. This aircraft will be powered by CFM-LEAP 1A32 engines.
