2019 was indeed a year for Airbus after achieving 768 net orders and delivered 863 aircraft. This was higher than the previous year which was at 800. For the widebody segment, Airbus delivered 112 A350 family aircraft of which 25 of them were the -1000 variant, 53 A330s, and 8 A380s. For the A330s, 41 of the 53 deliveries were the -900 NEO (New Engine Option) variant.
The 173 widebody deliveries amounted to Airbus's highest output in a single year for that aircraft category. For the narrowbody segment, Airbus delivered 642 A320-family, of which 551 belong to the NEO family models.
In a report by FlightGlobal, Airbus achieved a gross order of 1,131. The net number of orders in 2019 at 768 is higher than the previous year which was at 747.
For the newer A330NEO, Airbus secured 99 net orders, with the current A330 ending the year in negative territory with a net deficit of 10.
For the narrowbody segment, net orders included 654 for the A320 family and 63 for the A220.
