European aircraft manufacturer Airbus closes October with whopping 415 aircraft sales which includes its largest order from a single airline and 12 A330-900 from an undisclosed customer. This gives Airbus a wider lead over its rival Boeing which is affected by the 737 MAX grounding. This brings the total order to 718 for the months of January to October or a net sales of 542 after cancellations.
Airbus has also delivered a total of 648 aircraft in the first 10 months of October.
The October sales include a 300-A320NEO aircraft order from India's IndiGo, a mix of A320NEOs, A321NEOs, and A321XLRs.
Airbus's October order list also includes 30 A321XLRs from AirAsia X, 20 A321XLR from Wizz Air, 12 A321XLRs from JetSmart, 11 A321NEOs from China Airlines, 7 A320NEOs from Tigerair Taiwan, and 15 A321XLRs from two unidentified customers.
