The Termina 2 of Clark International Airport in Angeles City, Pampanga, is now 93.31% complete. Once complete by mid-2020, the new terminal will boost the airport capacity from its present 4.2 million to 12.2 million passengers annually. Aside from generating more trade, economic growth, and jobs in the Central and Northern Luzon area, the new terminal is seen to help ease the decongestion of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
In a media release from the Department of Transportation (DOTr), ongoing works include the exterior finishes, ancillary facilities, specialist systems and equipment, as well as the landside works.
At present, the site preparation works, earth works, foundation and substructure works, superstructure works, hollow core slab and the roof structure and sheeting have all been completed.
