South Korean budget airline Jeju Air has began its new Seoul Incheon International Airport (ICN) to Bohol Panglao International Airport (BPIA) direct flights last Monday, November 21. Flight number 7C4407 utilizing a Boeing 737-800 landed at BPIA at around 11:20am carrying 188 passengers including an infant and a 6-man flight crew. The aircraft was greeted by a water cannon salute after touchdown.
To commemorate the inaugural flight, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held. Present during the even were Kyoung Pyo Ko and Hyun Jun Lim from Jeju Air, Transnational Aviation Support Services, Inc. (TASSI) Duty Officer Val Cuaresma, CAAP-BPIA PTB Supervisor Frank Tayag and Assistant Supervisor Mary Luzelle Piquero.
Flight 7C4407 departs ICN at 7:10am Korea Standard Time (KST) and arrives BPIA at 11:20am (Philippine Standard Time) PST. The return flight 7C4408 departs BPIA at 12:20pm PST and arrives ICN at 6:35pm KST. Jeju Air flies from ICN to BPIA daily.
Other airlines operating from BPIA are Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, Philippines AirAsia, and Air Swift.
