The Airbus A321neo has become a popular aircraft among Asian airlines particularly the low cost airlines. In the Philippines alone, there are already 15 A321neo aircraft currently operating in both Philippine Airlines (PAL) and Cebu Pacific fleet. At the same time, both airlines combined have a pending order of 43 A320neo aircraft family with Cebu Pacific looking to be the country's biggest operator. This does not include 10 A321neo-XLR orders.
Philippine Airlines have 7 more A321neo-ACFs (Airbus Cabin Flex) still to be delivered whereas Cebu Pacific have 28 A321neo and 1 more A320neo to be delivered. Still to be finalized by the airline are 10 A321neo-XLR and 5 A320neo in which Cebu Pacific signed a Memorandum of Understanding during the Paris Air Show 2019.
Philippines AirAsia (PAA) is not far from also being a user of the A321neo. Unconfirmed reports have mentioned that PAA will also upgrade its fleet from the A320ceo to the A321neo where 30 of the 353 will be allocated for the Philippines. If this is confirmed, the Philippine commercial aviation industry will have a total of 93 Airbus A320neo aircraft family by 2025.
The Philippines is known to be an Airbus country where as of present, a bit more or less 154 Airbus A320 aircraft family are operating across all local airlines.
