Philippine Airlines (PAL) has leased two more De Havilland DHC-8-402 Dash-8 aircraft from TrueNoord. One aircraft was delivered just this month and the second least aircraft will be delivered to the airline by this February. This will put the number of Dash-8 turboprops operated by the PAL group to 12 aircraft. PAL's Dash-8 aircraft is the airline's interisland domestic workhorse, connecting islands directly to the main hubs like Manila, Clark, Cebu, and Davao.
The two additional Dash-8 will bring to 12 the total number of the aircraft type in the PAL group fleet. The Dash-8 was formerly known as the Bombardier Q400NG.
The PAL group now operates a fleet Boeing 777-300ER, Airbus A350-900, Airbus A330-300, Airbus A321NEO, Airbus A321-200, Airbus A320-200, and De Havilland DHC-8-400 aircraft.
