Philippine Airlines (PAL) has launched its daily Cebu to Zamboanga to Tawi-Tawi service yesterday December 15. Utilizing a Bombardier Q400NG turboprop aircraft, flight PR2991 departed Mactan Cebu at 5:24am and landed in Zamboanga at 6:24am. Flight PR2845 took-off from Zamboanga at 7:29am and landed in Sanga-Sanga Airport Tawi Tawi at 8:24am.
PAL's new Cebu to Zamboanga to Tawi -Tawi and vice versa service has expanded the airline's flight network bringing more direct connections from the Visayas to Mindanao region and within Mindanao itself.
The opening of the new service is a result of a clamor for more convenient air connectivity between these three areas. PAL's Cebu-Zamboaga-Tawi Tawi flights has indeed brought more convenience and ease of travel.
The return flight PR2486 took-off from Tawi Tawi at 10:03am and arrived in Zamboanga at around 11:00am. PR2992 then departed Zamboanga at 11:30am and arrived in Mactan at 11:30am.
Tawi-Tawi is the southernmost province in the Philippines. It shares the sea boarders with the Malaysian state Sabah and the Indonesian North Kalimantan province.
