Philippine Airlines (PAL) is set to launch Zamboanga to Tawi-Tawi flights and back. This is in response to for air connectivity between Zamboanga and Tawi-Tawi also known as the Southern Most Island. The service will commence on December 15, 2019. The airline will be flying from Zamboanga to Tawi-Tawi and back daily. This will also allow passengers to connect from Manila and Cebu to Zamboanga then Tawi-Tawi.
Flight PR2485 departs Zamboanga daily at 8:00am and arrives in Tawi-Tawi at 9:30am. PR2486 departs Tawi-Tawi daily at 10:00am arriving in Zamboanga at 11:30am.
PAL currently operates direct flights from Manila to Zamboanga and shall also commence Cebu to Zamboanga flights on December 15.
Zamboanga City is a 1st class city and known as the commercial and industrial center of the Zamboanga Peninsula. It is a highly urbanized, independent and chartered city grouped with the Zamboanga del Sur province. Tawi-Tawi on the other hand is an island province located in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). It is the Southernmost province in the Philippines.
