Budget airline Philippines AirAsia (PAA) is planning to revive its services to the Vietnamese city of Ho Chi Minh from Manila beginning this summer 2020. Starting March 29, 2020, PAA will operate three weekly flights utilizing its Airbus A320-200 aircraft.
Flight Z2294 departs at Manila at 11:25pm every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday, and arrives in Ho Chi Minh at 1:05am the following day. The return flight Z2295 departs Ho Chi Minh at 1:35am and arrives in Manila at 5:20am every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
The airline last served this route in July 2019.
The revival of the the Manila - Ho Chi Minh services will now allow Filipino AirAsia passengers to travel directly between the two cities without having to make a stopover in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Ho Chi Minh City which is located in South Vietnam was formerly known as Saigon. It is the financial center of Vietnam and is home to the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the largest stock exchange by total market capitalization in Vietnam.
