A twin-engine light propeller aircraft crashed in a resort area at Pansol, Calamba, Laguna today. Police confirms that there are fatalities but has not provided the exact number yet. In a text message to reporters, Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines said that the aircraft has a registration number RP-C2296, a Beech 350B King Air belonging to INAEC Aviation.
In a report from CNN Philippines, the CAAP said that a medical evacuation aircraft lost radar contact with the Manila tower while on its way to Manila from Dipolog.
A witness who was participating in a team building activity within the area said, "We noticed it, we knew it was flying low because its engine was loud. It tried to ascend. While he's trying to climb, debris started falling, and then it disappeared in the clouds. And then when we ran to the other side of the resort, we saw it slightly cross in the air while it was descending, then it just exploded."
The aircraft crashed at about 3:10pm according to reports.
