The Philippines' first boutique airline Skyjet is resuming Manila to Siargao direct flights beginning March 29 of this year utilizing its 92-seater BAe-146-200 jet aircraft. Skyjet head for commercial Joseph Edward Alvarico said the resumption of Manila to Siargao to Manila services will help sustain the growth momentum of the island's market growth. Siargao is known as the "Surfing Capital of the Philippines."
Manila to Siargao flight M8-421 departs Manila 9:50am and arrives in Siargao Sayak Airport at 11:10am. The return flight M8-422 departs Siargao at 11:40am and arrives in Manila at 1:10pm. Skyjet says that their Manila to Siargao services have the fastest flight time among other airlines servicing the Manila to Siargao route.
Alvarico also said, "SkyJet's the first airline to fly directly to Siargao, and we are looking at fulfilling our aim at allowing everyone, including millennials, to experience the culture of the island by providing competitive fares."
Skyjet also flies to Batanes, Camiguin, Coron, and San Vicente using its fleet of BAe-146 aircraft. It is now the only airline in the Philippines that operates the BAe-146 aircraft after Royal Air Philippines switched from the same aircraft type to the Airbus A320 family.
