Sunlight Express Airways will soon begin flights in the Philippines after it seeks a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) from the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB). Sunlight Express Airways will become the country's newest airline offering domestic chartered services utilizing an ATR 72-500 turboprop aircraft. According to a source, the airline will be based in Clark but seeks to move operations to Manila.
In a report by Aviation Updates Philippines, Sunlight Express's newest aircraft will be registered as RP-C6683. The ATR 72-500 formerly flew for Bangkok Airways. It is now being ferried to the Philippines.
As of this writing, no details have been provided with regards to its destinations and routes.
