Blood is indeed thicker than water, even in the air. A veteran pilot left his 40-year old career in Malaysian Airlines so he can join and fly with his daughters who both became pilots of Air Asia. First officer Safia Anisa and her sister immediately joined the airline right after graduating from a flying academy.
In her post on Twitter, Safia shared how elated she and her sister were after knowing that their father decided to fly as a junior colleague in the new airline just to be them. "This man left the company he's been w for 40 years, started fresh as a junior, got a new rating at the age of 58, just so he could fly w 2 of his annoying daugters. I cannot tell you how grateful i am for this. Alhamdulillah, i finally got to fly w my abah" says Safia's post.
Safia also posted more photos on her social media account showing their aviation family! She also shared that her father flew for Malaysian Airlines for 4 decades before transfering to Air Asia.
According also to Safia, the reason of their dad's transfer is just so he can spend his remaining years as a pilot with his daughters.
